Local organizations team up to support Citrus Blessings

On Nov. 17, a group of volunteers from the Key Training Center (KTC) and West Citrus Ladies of the Elks (LOE) packed weekend food items at the Citrus County Blessing pantry in Lecanto. These weekend supplies help to fight childhood food hunger for Citrus County school children. ABOUT US

Founded in 1999, Citrus County Harvest, Inc. started a Food Recovery program called Harvest. Each day, local restaurants donate remaining food at the end of the day. Our volunteers transport the perishables immediately to food pantries and meal services serving those in need. Two other programs, Blessings and Feed the Kids, provide low-income children meals during weekends within the school year and during the summer when out of school. Learn More
