When Citrus County Harvest, Inc. was founded in 1999, food recovery was the sole mission. Our Food Recovery program generally known as Harvest, is still in operation today.
Local restaurants donate food that remains at the end of the day to the Harvest program. Our volunteers transport the perishables immediately to food pantries and meal services that serve those in need.
Thanks to the amazing generosity in our community, this program currently does not require any funds.

Founded in 1999, Citrus County Harvest, Inc. started a Food Recovery program called Harvest. Each day, local restaurants donate remaining food at the end of the day. Our volunteers transport the perishables immediately to food pantries and meal services serving those in need.
